Run as if something very nasty were after you...

Had made quite a few David Tennant plushies recently, but wanted to have a break and make something different. So here he is:

"Run as if something very nasty were after you, because something very nasty will be after you"

If you can crochet and want to have a go at making your own just download the pattern from the patterns page.

Today I also finished my Talia vest :D The largest pattern I had ever attempted- I am very happy with how it turned out. Will post up some photos soon.

VALA and more gloves

Spent this week at VALA2010!
Was my first ever conference and was pretty exciting :) Much more exhausting than I expected, but it was amazing to see so many librarians in the one place! Met some lovely people (some of them crafty) and had both a stitchnbitch and a twitter dinner during the week.

Crafty projects for the week included these Cappuccino Gloves :)

Yarn for these was sourced from fellow Etsian Craftyyarn and you can get them here if you're quick

I should really stop making fingerless gloves!
But they are great to make on the train when you have to stand up squished against lots of other people. Knitting doesn't work in that situation because you stab the people next to you, but crochet can be very subtle.

Here are some other pics from the week's creations:

Also to note that I just joined Madeit, feel free to drop by

A Question about Images

Hi followers,
I was hoping to ask you a question toady: is my blog too image-heavy?

I personally love to see images in the blogs that I follow, but I know that people may not have the capacity to easily view big pages of high res pics. I realise the name of my blog makes this post a tad ironic ;)

Anyway, I can cut down on images per post if people are finding it hard, or I can show less posts on my front page if that would help also.

Would love to hear what you think :)

So just one little image for today (because I can't help myself)

I love this Talia Vest pattern by sweaterbabe

It's a free download and I would love to have a go, but I'm not sure I'm good enough at reading knitting patterns. I'm going to have a read and see if I can interpret it :)

Into the Woods - Red Riding Hood Gloves

My newest gloves are made from my own simple fingerless gloves pattern that I will be writing up soon. Will probably make it a free download from my blog if anyone would like to have a go.

I've listed this pair on Etsy, they are made from my favourite 100% Australian cosy wool and are a medium size. They're on sale at the moment as part of the DUSTteam Feb sale for which the theme is Roses are Red, Violets are Blue.

Made these last weekend with some origami paper - I think we're getting better at it
