Newest creations

Just a quick update of what I have been working on:

Another David Tennant plushie with glasses Ravelry

70% Bamboo 30% Cotton Ghost Train Gloves Ravelry | Etsy
And look! I finally learnt how to do an invisible seam! Have been using circular needles mostly till now, but cotton has no stretch so because a bit tricky on a circular

I used Theresa Vinson Stenersen's Knitty tutorial to learn this - yay!

New house and some favourite blogs

Well the move is over and went pretty smoothly. I'm completely exhausted and have a lot of sleep to catch up on this weekend. My favourite part of the apartment is my new bedroom, which has a door out to a little courtyard ^_^
It has taken me a while to realise just how important sunlight and greenery is to my own happiness.

_________
Thought this would be a good time to mention some of my favourite blogs that I look forward to reading each day. In particular these three combine personal experiences and challenges with beautiful photography and lovely handmade craft - enjoy :)

Goodie bag squeeness

How exciting!! Ran to the post office this morning to collect a special gift package from the lovely crocheter Misty whose ravelry projects will make you squee with cuteness ^_^

I had no idea what to expect (which made it even more exciting!) and this is what I found!!! So many goodies to play with ^_^ I'm overwhelmed!

So much love went into this collection of fun with lovely soft yarn, a homemade gorgeous notebook, and a container for me to keep my sewing supplies - it makes me so happy to know such a generous person who enjoyed my free patterns and sent me such a lovely gift in return!

So thank you Misty - much more happy crocheting in the future!
and I just wanted to show a few of your other cute projects ^_^

Missing the sun

I love my job - and I've loved that the lack of University work has allowed me to get back into crafting - but spending so much time inside is starting to make me long for outside adventures

We're just about to move house (for the 2nd time this year :/) and I am hoping that this change, the park near by, and the little courtyard attached to the place, will give me a bit more sunlight and stop feeling like all of my life is spent in the house, windowless office or train

I used to spend daylight hours wandering around the place and practicing poi or juggling (while avoiding uni work), but full time work has meant no sunlight left to play in :(

But summer is coming soon! and it will probably another hot one - time for wearing dresses and eating icecream!
