Green Tea Scarf Pattern GiveawaySunday, April 11, 2010
We're heading into Winter here in Australia - so I've been working on a knitting pattern for this Green Tea scarf.
I wanted a warm but not too thick scarf for myself, and this is what I came up with. It's a simple cable pattern waith a colour change in the centre.
Knitting pattern for those wanting to try some easy cables. If you find you’re really struggling, you can decide not to add in the colour change, and you’ll still have a lovely plait/cable scarf.
This pattern does not depend on any particular yarn, each will bring its own texture and feel to the scarf - Saying that, you probably want 10-12 ply to make the scarf thick enough to wear.
5.5mm knitting needles + a cable needle (or double pointed needle or crochet hook)
Slip 1 knitwise
Slip 1 purlwise
Carry the second colour behind when knitting
(the back of the scarf does not have the plait effect)
