My current design project seems to be taking forever. I've re-knitted it 5 times so far, and still haven't reached the outer edge of the hat. It does improve a little each time, but I think in the future I need to take a more mathematical approach to designing something like this :)

Finished my first handspun hat ^_^ Had to knit it almost twice because my head is small and didn't fit the pattern but after ripping back to round 32 and re-inventing the pattern from there without the extra increase rows it fits perfectly ^_^ I might have already started knitting another :p

Had some fun with dye this weekend ^_^ It was raining most of Saturday so was the perfect excuse to get some crafting done. After the happy colours my first handspun absorbed last week...
I wanted to do some more dying but didn't have time to to do the spinning to create the yarn. My grandma had given me some of her stash and as I was washing it and adding it to ravelry I realised that the fluoro pink would be perfect for combining with the dye colours I currently own
Love how it turned out (just by adding blue!) and wish it would dry faster! I don't knit with 4 ply much though so I'm not sure what I'll be doing with this. Will need some experimenting :)
I also finished off quite a few other projects this weekend - will show you a couple of them for now:
Miss Scarlet Cloche
(have been listening to too many Phryne Fisher mysteries
Large Mobius Mitts
I have very small hands and felt it was about time I made some larger ones available :)

I wanted to test my hippo pattern so i started making one out of pink wool - but it seems he has turned into a pig! Then I made him a removeable hat to go between his ears :)
And here is his story:
Piggle the Cowboy hails from the Wild West. He is tough and strong and always gets his way. With his daunting blue cowboy hat, and threateningly fuzzy tail, any saloon will go silent at the mere sight of him.
I have just made the pattern available in here if you would like to make one for yourself or for a friend.
ohh and the hat is removable of course :)

These are my new obsession. My friend Sarah showed me how to make them and now I have made 4 because I just can't stop. Here are some photos of the first one I made. I will add some from the newer hats soon.
